 🎉Mautic 6.0: Orion Edition is Here!

It’s here! Mautic 6.0: Orion Edition just dropped last month, and we’re excited for you to check it out. Named after one of the most recognizable constellations in the night sky, this release represents a significant milestone for our open source community. 

Project started: November 5, 2024
General Availability: March 26, 2025

🌟 Maintainer Month 2025: Call for Contributions

This May, we’re partnering with the Open Source Initiative (OSI) and GitHub to celebrate the folks who keep open source projects alive - our maintainers!

This year’s theme: 🔒 Securing Open Source

How you can participate:

• Share a Story: Give a shoutout to a Mautic maintainer who’s made a meaningful difference in your project or community. You might even spotlight your team’s contributions to open source with some blog posts, showing how your team members contribute to open source projects.
  
  
• Help us write some content about Mautic’s maintainers: We’d like to write some articles featuring some of Mautic’s maintainers - join us in #t-marketing on Slack if you’d like to contribute!
  
  
• Celebrate Online: Use the hashtag #MaintainerMonth on social media.

Let’s work together to ensure maintainers get the recognition they deserve!

• May 9 – Project Lead Office Hours 2pm UTC
  Topic: How Mautic is maintained. We’ll kick off Maintainer Month with some insights into how Mautic is maintained and what goes into making a new release, along with an open floor to bring your own questions. Don’t miss it! Join the call here.
  
  
• May 19 – Marketing Team Onboarding 12.30pm UTC
  A chance to plug into Mautic’s outreach engine and get started as a contributor to Mautic. Opportunities for writers, designers, content editors, website designers and more - come along to learn more! Join the call here.
  
  
• May 22 - Project Lead Office Hours 2pm UTC
  Topic: Understanding the new release cycle. We'll dive into why Mautic decided to adopt a new release strategy, what this means for marketers, and what Extended Long Term Support is all about, followed by the usual open floor to bring your own questions. Join the call here.
  
  
• May 30 – Developer Onboarding 10.30am UTC
  Still thinking about contributing code? Want to get started with bug fixing? Have an idea for a new feature and want to know which branch to work on? Join this  onboarding session to learn how to get involved and start making a real impact. Join the call here.
  
  
• June 5 - Project Lead Office Hours 2pm UTC
  Topic: The future of AI with Mautic. How does Mautic envision AI being introduced into Core? What plugins can developers build to integrate AI with Mautic and how do they go about it? Join this call to learn more about Mautic's upcoming AI manifesto, followed by the usual open floor for your own questions and comments. Join the call here.
  
  
• June 19 - General Assembly Meeting 1pm UTC
  Mautic's annual General Assembly is our central governance mechanism for making substantial changes to the governance model and sharing with the members our progress over the previous year. You need to be a member of Mautic to join. Voting for motions opens on 5th June. Sign up here to attend.
  
  
• June 19 - Project Lead Office Hours 2pm UTC
  Topic: The Privacy Project. Come and learn what Mautic is planning to further develop our privacy-focused features and why this is important, followed by the usual open floor for your own questions and comments. Join the call here.
  
  
• June 27 - Developer onboarding 10.30am UTC
  If you missed the onboarding session in May here's your next chance to get started as a developer with Mautic. Come and learn more about making your first PR, how to do code reviews, and get started with your first contributions. Join the call here.
